Pokemon Go

A lot of people have many negative things to say about Pokemon Go. They call it dangerous and make fun of it. It's really not a bad thing though.

Let me tell you about Pokemon Go. Its and app that uses your phone's geolocation technology to track you as you visit Pokestop and Pokemon gym locations. It also allows to to go to different areas of your neighborhood to gather different Pokemon.

Pokemon Go encourages getting out of the house for those who would otherwise stay in. It promotes exercise as you have to walk certain distances for Pokemon eggs to be hatched. The app keeps track of your speed so that you have to be walking for it to work. Pokemon go also encourages more social interaction with people they wouldn't otherwise interact with. It's breaking down social divides and is encouraging people to work together as a team.

The app can be dangerous if it's used irresponsibly though. Some people don't pay enough attention to their surroundings and they wander into places they shouldn't.

That said, Pokemon Go is a great app when used responsibly. I believe it can cause more good than harm based on my personal experience. It's brought me closer to my friends and it has allowed me to make new friends.

I stand behind Pokemon Go and one day, I will catch them all!

God bless and have a safe day!

The Raven Cycle

I love love love this series! There is a reason Maggie Stiefvater is my favorite author and this series is it!

Let's talk about the characters. Blue Seargent, Richard Campbell Gansey III, Adam Parrish, and Ronan Lynch. These are the main characters of the series. And when I say main character, I mean that the story revolves around each one of them individually as well as all of them together. And not only them! Even the background characters are three dimensional! Any character mentioned in Maggie's books could be the main character! This is how characters should be written!

Let's talk about the world building. Henrietta is a real place. I don't care if it's on an actual map or not. It's a real place with real people who have a thriving culture and everything. Even Cabeswater! Let me tell you about Cabeswater. It is a dream. It is literally a dream created from the mind of Ronan Lynch. It exists and you won't convince me otherwise! It is so throughly real, it feels like I'm really there when I'm reading the book! It's like a memory put to paper, like Maggie Stiefvater was actually there while she was writing this book.

Let's talk about the plot. I might not even have adequate words to describe how beautiful it is. Nope. The words escape me.

This book has ruined me for other books. It sets the standard and I could never hope to read a series as well written, well thought out, and well written as this book is. This review doesn't even do the series justice.

All I can say is read it for yourself and find out. All four books.

Go ahead, I'll wait.

When you get back, don't forget to leave a comment on how much you loved the series. :)
