I was crying and sobbing and laughing throughout this book and that is something I adore in a book.

The first book was the attraction, the second book was the love. What's great about it is that you can really feel the love between Katy and Daemon. They're not obsessed or infatuated with each other, but they love each other. It is so hard to find a book like that these days.

Katy is probably my most favorite heroine that I've read so far. She goes about life with a steady head and I admire that about her. Also, she is the most relatable heroine. Geez, her sense of humor, the way she thinks, Katy is just a very tangible character that is realistic!

Oh and the writing, don't even get me started. Armentrout put this novel together brilliantly and she didn't disappoint. It's so real. I can easily slip into the book as if it was taking place in my own mind. If you loved Obsidian, you'll love this even more. Now, I am going to go read this again.

Not as bad as it seems

Will they be united-or torn apart forever? Readers will finally discover the truth in this anxiously awaited conclusion!

It definitely was a better ending than I was expecting. I was actually very satisfied with the ending. 

With that being said, PRAISE THE LORD THIS SERIES HAS COME TO AN END! 

I didn't know how much more of it I could take. I was eventually sold the romance with begrudging acceptance when I realized that it went way back before Damen was immortal. I didn't fall in love with any of the characters, though I did have more respect for Ever when she chose her soul's immortality rather than physical immortality whether her boyfriend or soul-mate or whatever would not. She found out the truth and stuck to what she knew with a strong head and didn't let herself be swayed by possibly not seeing Damen again. I'm proud of her. She's really come a long way.

The series, overall, has way more books than it needs. There's no need to drag stuff out. I will probably never feel the urge to read this series again and I can't wait to get them back to my friend. But for the record it did all wrap up very nicely. That is all.
