Everlasting

Will they be united-or torn apart forever? Readers will finally discover the truth in this anxiously awaited conclusion!
It definitely was a better ending than I was expecting. I was actually very satisfied with the ending.
With that being said, PRAISE THE LORD THIS SERIES HAS COME TO AN END!
I didn't know how much more of it I could take. I was eventually sold the romance with begrudging acceptance when I realized that it went way back before Damen was immortal. I didn't fall in love with any of the characters, though I did have more respect for Ever when she chose her soul's immortality rather than physical immortality whether her boyfriend or soul-mate or whatever would not. She found out the truth and stuck to what she knew with a strong head and didn't let herself be swayed by possibly not seeing Damen again. I'm proud of her. She's really come a long way.
The series, overall, has way more books than it needs. There's no need to drag stuff out. I will probably never feel the urge to read this series again and I can't wait to get them back to my friend. But for the record it did all wrap up very nicely. That is all.

ReplyDeleteSIXTH book? Seriously? I started reading this series right around the time the second one came out, and I really liked the first one. The second one was okay, but I gave up in the middle of the third book. I had no idea this series was so long! I thought three books was too many, to be honest. Six just seems like overkill.

I quite agree. The first and the last books of the series were the best books. I don't know how I lasted so long, but I figured if I was going to bother re-reading the first book just to find out what the heck their talking about in the second book (it was a long while between reads), why not just finish the series that my friend has gone out of her way to let me borrow. (holy crap that was a long sentence to say out loud!)
